The FAIR OAKS contingent headed down to the NCA beach for KAYAKING. The team took the BRONZE in the COUPLES competition. A great start by SUSAN LOSE and JIM BRENNAN, who suffered a minor head injury when hit by an errant paddle (okay, so it was Susan's paddle - no blood, no guts, no glory). Solid performance in the middle of the race by the LYNN & JAMEY KOUTRAS' and LYNN POWELL & BOB HARMON. And then the team of AARON ECKERT and BETH MULFORD held off NCA for the BRONZE.

PETRA JOHNSON held off the competition in the women's singles event to bring home the GOLD, as did RAY MOTT, who for the third straight Olympics brought home the GOLD in the men's competition. (see the gold medal picture attached) Special kudos to CAITLIN BURMAN, who fought off kayak adversity and still made it to shore.
