Fair Oaks Golf Association
FOGA has selected golf courses in the Pinehurst, NC area, and the first week of October for our annual Fall trip. We will share a large van (or a few large SUVs) for the driving; so the ride down, rides to and from the courses, and the ride back home are taken care of (just chip in for gas money). We are staying at the Pine Needles/Mid Pines Resort. Here are more details:
Accommodations:
Mid Pines Dogwood Lodge (chalet); rooms surround common area having pool table and poker table; on 10th Fairway. Sleeps 10: $600 per night (approximately $60/per night/per person).
Pine Needles Lodge (hotel) single $170/night; double occupancy $85.
SpringHill Suites (Marriott) single $120/night: double occupancy $60 (3 miles away).
Itinerary:
Wed Oct 4: depart FO at 11:00 am; Dinner at the resort 6:30 pm.
Thur Oct 5: 8:45-9:10 tee times at Mid Pines; Lunch; Optional afternoon tee times 1:45-2:00; Dinner at 7:30. $100
Fri Oct 5: 8:30-8:50 tee times at Tobacco Road; Lunch; Optional afternoon tee times 1:00-1:20; Dinner at 7:00. $100
Sat Oct 6: 8:40-9:00 tee times at Pine Needles; Lunch; Optional afternoon tee times 1:15-1:40; Dinner at 7:00. $50
Sun Oct 7: 10:00 Depart NC; arrive back FO at 4:00 pm.
So, the approximate costs are: golf ($250); accommodations ($180-300); plus your food (and some gas money). So, budget approximately $700 (plus your poker losses) for the trip.
